Imagine enjoying life, getting home from a great trip, having many opportunities ahead of you ... then not being able to breathe ...
That is what happened to Hélène Campbell in July of 2011.

At 20 years old, Hélène suddenly requires a double lung transplant.
Hélène, diagnosed in September 2011 with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), has been placed on the transplant list. Lung transplants are time critical. So Hélène and her mom, Manon, had to leave the rest of the family in Ottawa and move to Toronto. They now wait to receive notice that a compatible set of lungs have become available. Hélène will receive her new lungs shortly after that notice.
This website, its accompanying Blog, plus Twitter and Flickr streams document Hélène's journey to breathing normally again.
Please share Hélène's story with your friends using these or other social networks ...
... and Please keep tweeting #BeAnOrganDonor and #GiveBlood ! ...
Thank you for your interest!
