April 19, 2013:
Hélène has experienced an amazing journey to breathing easy again. This was the front page of alungstory.ca during most of that journey; it is now a record of the beginning of alungstory.ca.

Imagine enjoying life, getting home from a great trip, having many opportunities ahead of you ... then not being able to breathe ...
That is what happened to Hélène Campbell in July of 2011.

At 20 years old, Hélène suddenly required a double lung transplant.
Hélène, diagnosed in September 2011 with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), was placed on the transplant list. Lung transplants are time critical. So Hélène and her mom, Manon, had to leave the rest of the family in Ottawa and move to Toronto. There, they waited to receive notice that a compatible set of lungs had become available.
Hélène received her new lungs on April 6th, Good Friday, 2012.
This website, its accompanying Blog, plus @alungstory on Twitter, a Flickr photostream, and alungstory on Facebook document Hélène's journey to breathing normally again.
Please share Hélène's story with your friends using these or other social networks ...
